Classic Series 60s Jazz Bass

  1. I finally got to try one of these today, and I was really impressed. MIM, but the neck plays like a dream, and it sounded real good to boot. With some Custom shop 60s pickups or something it would be one heck of a bass. The one I played was Burgundy Mist with matching headstock, sweet! I thought they only made them in white, black and sunburst. I'd heard great things about this bass and man was it good, especially for the price tag (850 CDN, roughly 600-650 American?).

EDIT: Fender should really make a Classic Series 60s P Bass! I'd buy it in a sec.

I have a Burgundy Mist (Metallic Pink) one and I do agree they are fantastic basses.

I 've had the bridge on mine replaced to a bad assII, and had metal knobs put on for a more vintage vibe. Mines strung with TI Jazz Flats and its sounds massive and smooth as hell.

I love mexican fenders. Well at least I do after this beauty.
