Yep, you don't see these come available very often.
Birdseye maple from a 2009-10. Looks amazing, I just don't dig the vintage fretwire. I play with a heavy touch and love big, tall frets.
Well trade for another 'Ray neck + cash. My ideal neck would be from the early 90s, the ones with gloss finish.

WOW! I didn't know the classic series necks had vintage fret wire!

Just "toying" with the idea of a trade, "sitting on the fence".......I have a 2004 'Ray, maple/rosewood neck. Mint, zero fret wear no dings, scratches or nothing. How much would you want in addition for a trade?

    (You're probably wanting maple/maple, right?)

  4. Is there any difference in the thickness between a classic and standard stingray neck? I want a thinner neck but don't want a SLO with the switches etc.

I'm open to rosewood or maple.
My only stipulation is that it must be in perfect working order (no twist, truss rod problems) and that it not have any glaring dead spots.

I have the same thing but a sterling and you really do need a light hand to play it....it takes me a few hours to get back into Fender mode after playing them.....but they are beautiful necks!

I'm not sure, it might be a bit more rounded.

    Why not have it refretted?

That's too high. Probably because of the finished maple fingerboard. I charge between $250-300 for a job like that.

I know it isn't up your alley but send me a PM if you want to trade for a SR classic rosewood neck.

This is back on the market!
Maple or rosewood, SLO ok. Would prefer a glossy neck 91-94.

I think you might be looking for a pretty narrow window if you want a 6 bolt neck from the 90s with a gloss finish, I have a 93 that's waxed. I think mid 90 to some time in 92? between switching from 4 bolts to going to unfinished necks....
