Clean '66 P-bass on local CL

    That looks too perfect. If it is legit, that is awesome.

    What is that other bass/thing in there? Looks intriguing.

    Lollipops were standard on Jazzes in '66 & '67, but they aren't as common on Ps from that era. Fender used up the old supply of the (pre-CBS) reverse Kluson tuners on P basses until '68 when they were finally all used up.. and by that time Fender had also replaced the lollipops too - with the "elephant ears" (although I've seen the last few remaining pops used up into 1970).

    It ain't right, that's for sure! The rest of the bass looks legit from the pics tho. I have no idea where that neck plate and "G" ser. # came from though!
     
  7. interesting, this guy emailed me asking me what i thought it was worth before the ad went up im my own local craigs. with the 805 area code being my area, looks like he put it up all over cali.
