My mics were borrowed by another band for a gig and they just let anything they had in their mouth fly out onto the mic. How can I clean them? The screen can be taken off the one mic but the other is an instument mic and it doesn't come apart. Can I dip the mic into something to clean it and of course let it dry then have it still work fine?

    Sounds like they're really messy.

Most SM58 type mics will take a standard sized replacemebr mic ball. Most music shops would have them.

As for the 57 type mic, do you have Glenn 20 in your neck of the woods? Any Aerosol disinfectant will do the job. It may not look clean but you'll at least kill any germs.
