Cleaning my bass

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Chris Brodowski, Dec 13, 2001.

  1. Ok, if these are all stupid questions, forgive my dumbness and newbie-ness. :D

I have several questions about bass maintenance:

    1) Fingerprints on body and neck (especially body): How do I get rid of them and make my bass shine again?

    2) Dirt and grime on fretboard: How can i make the fretboard look new and clean? (If it is important, which i doubt it is, my bass is fretted)

    Thanks people.
  2. Hey fill out your profile.

What kind of bass, what kind of finish, what kind of fingerboard.
  3. I think my bass has a clear gloss finish, and I know it has an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard.
  4. Just wipe it down with a soft cloth. For the fretboard get an old and thin guitar pick to reach those hard-to-get areas under the frets.
