This is probably a stupid question, but what should I use to clean nylon strings? I use some formula to clean my other strings, but I'm afraid to use it on nylon unless someone tells me it won't eat them away or something. Thanks.

btw: they are la bellas if that matters any.

You can just wipe them down with a damp ( slightly moist-NOT soaking wet) towel. You don't necessarily have to use alcohol or other types of solvents.

I haven't used nylon wound strings in a long time, but I seem to remember that I'd wipe mine down with naptha. That was probably overkill and I wouldn't recomend doing that today.
