Cleaning with Furniture Polish

    Is this a good idea? I know it has a great shine and a funny smell :smug: but will it strip the finish from my bass?

    No. Painted finishes tend to be very robust and difficult to dissolve even when you're trying to strip them chemically. If we're talking about a normal paint and clear coat finish, you can use whatever you want to clean it, though I'd recommend against something with a potentially oily residue such as furniture polish.
