Hey everyone. This listing is for my Clement Ergo. It is bass number 148, and features a black limba (korina) body with a redwood burl top. The neck is 5 piece walnut and wenge, and I believe the board is rosewood. Not certain of that though. EDIT: I contacted Mr. Clement, and he informed me that the fingerboard is ebony. It is a 34 inch scale, with a single Nordstrand dual coil and passive circuitry. Clement's website claims a weight on this thing of 7.5 pounds, but my postal scale puts this at a flat 7 pounds zero ounces. I think it was stored close to a P90X dvd. This bass is in mint condition, and is set up and intonated perfectly. It plays like a dream, and sounds wonderful. I was actually surprised at the variation in tone you can get out of this thing just by changing the location of your right hand. It is very responsive to plucking dynamics. $1500, shipped. Includes the brand new pro tec case. I always consider trade offers if you want to make one. I can go plus or minus cash for the right stuff. Please message me if you have something in mind. Thanks!
I have 3 basses built by Tom, including one with with this body style with dual Nordstrands. I love them all. This is a gorgeous example of his work.
What kind of strings are on it? What is the switch for: Coil tap, freq switch, or active/passive? What genre of tones does this mostly lean toward?
It is currently strung with nickel rounds. The switch is a coil tap. I don't know how to answer the last one.
