For sale is my custom Clement 5 String Fretless #330.

Tom built this for me in early 2014. It's never seen a gig and is in perfect like new condition. Not a mark on it. Beautiful bass with fully loaded out electronics. Active electronics with Nordstrand Big Splits and a bridge with piezo system. It also was built with a Bartolini pre-amp buffer for the piezo bridge. A range of tones you wouldn't believe.
I'm going through some major home expenses and am having to clear out a lot of my gear for funds. This bass was over $3,000 when built and is basically new. Letting it go for less than half the original cost.
Price is $1400 with shipping to CONUS.
I am also selling it's "sister" fretted bass here:

Note that the original 5 piece neck was made from black limba with wenge stripes. There was an issue with the limba wood in the neck. It actually split shortly after I received it, so Tom built a brand new neck out of roasted maple with wenge stipes and replaced it (he's a stand up guy and backed his product 100%). You can see the new neckin the pics below. I also replaced the metal knobs with my own wood knobs (Tom was kind enough to send me the the left-over wood from the bass body). I can supply the original metal knobs if requested.
Thanks for looking...and of course the pics:

I haven't recorded anything with it, but I could make some sample recordings if you're seriously interested in the bass. PM me if so.

Not interested, but I really like the way you matched the two-tone knobs with the two body woods of each bass.

Thanks, it was easy to match up the knobs, since they are the actual body woods :). Tom Clement sent me the left-over body cutouts from the build, and I turned them on my lathe to make the control knobs.

No deal made...Back up for sale.
  10. Does the preamp have 2 midrange controls?
How is the piezo pickup blended with the Nordstrands?
    How much does it weigh?

Tone controls are bass and treble stacked knob. The piezo has a dedicated blend knob which dials it completely on with the magnetic pups off on one end, to no piezo and full pups on the other. There is a magnetic pickup blend (bridge/neck select) knob. Volume with active/passive push pull. Also a passive tone control knob. Weight is in the 8-9 lb range I think, but I have never actually weighed it, that's just a guesstimate.
Thanks for the questions...there is now another deal pending on it however.

Both basses sold to the same buyer. Sad to see these two go, but I think they went to a good home.
