As amazing as this beauty is, I rediscovered that I just can't go without frets! The neck on this is really comfortable. Smooth as butter. It plays and sounds great. It's in pretty good shape with some minor dents. The pickups it came with were some older EMG P pickups that didn't sound good so I replaced it with EMG Geezer Butlers. Huge improvement. I'd keep this thing if I could play it. The serial number has rubbed off a little but is still visible(see pictures)

    Nut width - 1.5"
Weight - 9 lbs 1.8 oz on a postal scale

    From Tom's website:
34" scale 4-string. The top is bookmatched spalted maple and the back is mahogany. The neck is made of mahogany with rosewood stripes and a hard maple center stripe. Bubinga fingerboard and an ebony nut.

    Beautiful bass.

How would you describe the neck profile? What is the width at the nut?

Any position dots on the top of neck? If so, aligned with where frets would be?

I'll have to check the nut width when I get home. The neck doesn't feel like a chunky P neck, more like a slim J neck. I prefer J necks myself so it's very comfortable.
It does have side dots where the frets would be.

Very cool to see the early ones still out there. Good luck to the new owner.

No but I could make a fretted neck for it. Have a Pastrami at Frenchies for me. We love that place.

I was more or less asking for other potential buyers. Frenchie's is the BEST! How cool that you know TC Tom! Call me next time you're here!

We stay at the "Anchor inn" The filling station is another of our favorite spots.

As for the nut it is 1.5" similar to a jazz bass.
