    On my MIA Jazz, my E and A strings click (noticable played unamplified) why i play hard fretted on or above the 7th fret... is this a problem at the bridge, with the trussrod, or with the frets? How could I fix it?

    Also, how much does a professional setup (at a music store) usually cost and how long does it usually take them?

    There ya go. It's 'clicking' because you are playing too hard. If you don't want to change your technique, raise your action at the bridge.

    If you play with your fingers play so that you just touch the strings but so it is still audible (SP?) and if you play with a plectrum/pick/little triangular thing use a loose, soft one. Also loose tunings (C and low A) dont help with the clicking either
