Fire sale! Not literally, but raising funds quickly. This bass has been with me for a long long time. Has some player wear, but nothing I think is terribly noticeable. Refinished in an inca silver with amber clear coat. Hipshot ultralight keys are now lollipops. Custom pickguard. Delano pickups with a Glockenklang preamp. Final Price drop to 750 plus actual shipping. Will ship without a case, but in original Lakland packing material and box.

What are the controls on the glock? Does it have a passive tone control? Thanks.

It's a 3 band with blend and master volume. The switch is series/parallel for the bridge pickup. It does have a passive tone, I'm a dummy.

  7. Where did you get that pick guard and what is the color called. It is very interesting. I may want to have one made for a bass I have.

Chandler / Pickguard Heaven black oyster pearl - cost a bit, but I really like it on this bass

Haven't found our bathroom scale yet, but it's not lightweight

It really came out just like I hoped it would. The original silver was more bass boat-esque.

Got a Stingray 5 very similar with Lane Poors and MM/J with Demeter pre....and nothing can touch it in tone from Sadowsky to James Tyler basses. I'm thinking this would come close but I need to sell my Alien Audio here on talkbass. Is this an earlier 5502 from Korea? And can you compare the Glockenklank to the Bartolini preamp ?. Bob

It is one of the very first skylines from Korea. Originally had the y key tuners, but I replaced them with USA hipshot ultralights. Tonewise, I found the original Bart pickups and pre to be a bit dark. I like the glock pre because there is zero difference between active with flat eq and passive tone. It is an absolute tone monster, and I definitely agree about nothing being able to touch it at 3 times the price. The Delano pickups are very even, but with a nice fundamental.

  16. Is this still for sale?

Those tuners make the headstock look like a work of art. Great call.

Thanks, I had to fight back the urge to put them on every bass I own!

Clips are nothing special - pardon the slop. Just straight into the interface, no processing at all.
