$60 bucks doesn't go that far does it.

  3. The gold hardware is up to par. But the body and neck are blah. I might use the parts for a project. The pickups are active with passive push pull on the vol.

If the hardware is good then $60 was a good deal.

SGC must stand for 'SoundGear Copy'. :p

My guess is "SGC -Nanyo", which was Japanese, prevalent in the early 90's. They made the Bass Collection basses which are actually great little Spector clones and usually sound and play very good indeed. Regret offing mine.

  7. Actibe with a push/pull bypass? That and hardware might be worth something.

    Otherwise, SGC= Somekindof Godawful Crap.

I owned a samick before. it seemed like the body was made of particle board. it came with a bent metal (fender type) bridge and when I swapped a badass ll on it the thing sounded worse. a total waste of $. I got rid of it happily.
