I've used them before, and they are really nice. I might give them a try, but both the Flats and rounds in 6 string sets are insanely $$$$! Almost $200 or more depending where you buy from.

I use their flats on both my CB P basses and love them though.

@Hotblack that fretboard is insane! So nice.

Yeah I imagine 6 string set is whole other ballgame when it comes to $. Plus recent price increases etc.

Wow, that system is pretty cool @LowWay

I have had just regular old coil switches on other basses, and they've been fun.

As I get older, I find that I really only dig passive basses with a blend knob. I only add the preamps so I can change it up when I feel like it. A matter of fact, my 10 anniversary bass from Cliff has a passive active switch but no passive control. It drives me nuts!
I have been talking to Cliff recently to get this fixed. So for me, no options and hand techniques have been my favorite way of playing.

For this new bass, I have three switches I think. Two separate mute switches, and an active passive switch.
I have a funny feeling I'll be playing it on passive mode 75% of the time and just messing with the balance control.

Very cool though, I never thought about a coil tap on a P bass with double P pickups before.

Definitely drop him an email. Cliff is excellent about communication. He'll give you a realistic estimate and update you if "life stuff" changes the timeline.

Kalium matched low tension nickel rounds. I love them on mine.

And if life stuff changes your timeline he'll work with you. I've lost 3 jobs in the last 2 years after 17 years with the same employer. He's pushed me on and off the backlog at each time.

I start my 4th job in 2 years, as well as my 4th job in 19 years on Monday. Here's hoping this one doesn't need to downsize before I can get my next bass.
