Codec Server for Windows Media Player?

  1. What is this? I just had to download it to listen to a track by a band I might be joining..... I was just wondering what it does.

    It's just a piece of software that understands the "format" of the media. It's a "COder-DECoder", for a particular format, like MP3, or MPEG, or whatever. Windows Media Player can understand whatever format it has a CODEC for, and if you don't happen to have the right one on your system, it'll ask you to download one from the Microslop web site. :)

  7. I was actually listening to a reocrding of my new band. It's experimental....think Dillinger Escape Plan meets Mudvayne. Crazy as hell tiem signatures and effects and lots of solos.

    4/4 probably... 3/4 for the really experimental tracks.

    I hate 6/8 time. Mainly becuase it has never been explained to me.

    12/8 doesnt bother me cause you can just count it 1-2-3-4...

    Explain to me the great 6/8 :p
