    Hey there,
Has anybody tried out the coffin case? Specifically the plywood flight case for fender style basses. Bonus points; anybody know the weight? Thanks.

I could find out for you by the end of the week. I'll be jamming with a buddy of mine who's a Coffin Case endorser. I'll take my Fender along and cram it in there, though I'm sure somebody will know before that.

eek...the flight cases are pretty weighty. they are tres cool, though. not sure of the exact weight...around 15-18 pounds, i would guess.

I just got a Coffin Case for my Highway 1 Jazz yesterday and it fits fine- does not slide around at all. I got the universal case, not the flight case. I'd say it weighs around 15lbs.

Havn't tried the coffin CASE... But I do have the Coffin Case Body Bag (gig bag), and man, it is durable as hell... Very strong...

I have a coffin case for my guitar, it seems to be a very nice case, well made and nicely padded on the inside. Pretty heavy though, as are all cases.
