Worst: Sunburst with green pearloid PG.
The only one of these I've even seen is Jemaine's bass in FotC.
Best, hands down: Natural blonde with white pearloid PG.

IMHO, sunburst only looks good with a black or tortoise pg...
Sorry but IMO the sunburst/white pearloid bass in that pic is just plain UGLY!
    So are that guy's tattoos...

A bound and blocked neck makes them all look good!

I love my Squier VM, Geddy Clone and my Natural Ash Jazz with white pickguard and Pearloid blocked maple neck with the cream binding.

Funny too as I was NEVER a natural finished bass lover till that Ash SX....

I own/have owned basses in black, 2 and 3 colour bursts, silver, grey, white, blue, red, maroon, natural, light and dark brown.

I am really more concerned with the sound than the colour.

FWIW, if I was offered a great sounding/playing bass in baby puke green/yellow, I would likely pass. IMO, as long as the bass looks 'OK" but sounds great and plays great, colour is my last concern.

I love that red burst with black guard. I'm looking to put together a bass (Precision is how I'm leaning) with a look like that. What other reds are out there with that deep red color? (yeah, I know... red). I don't care for midnight wine or fiesta.

Sunburst with tort is a favorite of mine. Olympic White with tort. Shoreline Gold with tort is killer.

Loony Bob's Spector is pretty wild.

I'm not sure which red that is. I'm getting my next Jazz Bass refinished liked that (I'm strictly Fender), so I figure my local guitar shop can match that color. And who is this "Loony Bob" you speak of? I haven't heard of him, nor could I find him on a Google search.

There's that double neck, posted by you, labeled "Redburst with a black pickguard". I love that color combination–that deep, rich red with the black guard. I have a Modulus BaSSStar neck that I've been hoping to pair with just the right body; I'm thinking a Fender P in a red like that with a black guard, single Darkstar and chrome accoutrements.

loonybob123, a registered TB user, posted a pic (above) of his Spector Rex 5 with what appears to be a highly reflective. and wildly figured paint job. Very nice.

Oh, OK. And I was saying I didn't know what type of red color that was, not what red bass.

I'm not sure what that red would be called. I took "Redburst" to be a two-color burst using a specific red for the transparent color. I think that's the first I've seen of that.

The red I have in mind is something like Gibson's Cherry Red as used on their SG series guitars. I think that deep red with black is a great color combination, but especially so when using a Darkstar with its exposed, dual pole pieces, and chrome surround. There is almost an almost art deco, or Bauhaus industrial look to it that I find very appealing. My Modulus neck is jet black with no weave pattern or KLD. I'm searching for the right look for a new parts build.
