Right now it is just plain white-Very vanilla. So I am wanting to replace it with something a little more interesting. Any suggestions? I could go with the tried and true tort or pearl white, but I am open to anything!

Lots of people like tort guards on burst bodies...I personally like a Black guard (actually, B-W-B three ply guard) on burst... like Stevie Ray Vaughn's Strat... tres stylin'.

Red Tort or maybe black... But I think the sunburst-tort is a beautiful classic.

I have just picked up a 3T sunburst jazz bass that comes sans pickguard. I am not a huge fan of the red tort pickguard and assumed that the best colour would be either:

    1) White - black - white; or

    2) Mint - Black - Mint

Can someone let me know whether I am mistaken or whether Mint is actually a "classic" colour on sunburst jazz basses?

Also, does anyone know where I can get a cheap mint pickguard?
