Combo for small gigs???

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by joeyang761020, Oct 30, 2004.

  1. I am currently looking for small combo for my small gigs. Can anybody provide their expierence or opinion. My band play in a small pub....so how many watts do you guys think I need? My budget is kind of tight....so....something under $350?

    Thanks in advance..
  2. ashdown EB series combos. EB 150 112 or 180 112. they change all the time. you need at least 100 watts. more importantly, you need an efficient cab design and a beefy power supply. Ashdown combos fit this bill.

Try a Behringer......not a fancy name, but the ones I've heard were real nice..... especially for the money!

    I just spotted a used Nemesis NC210P for $350 on www.bassgear.com
I have one and it's great. It sounds good, it's reliable, light weight, tons of features and puts out 225 watts.

    peavey combo 115 200 watts @ 4 ohms 300 watts @ 2 ohms goes for around 500$ on musiciansfriend.
  6. Thanks for some usual input. I think I will go into town today and check those out. Sound like Ashdown is pretty good deal....I will also give Behringer a try.

Pick up a Nemesis as has already been suggested. Eden quality on a budget.

Be careful though, it will result in a desire to acquire more Eden gear. :D
