I'm in the process of downsizing to a good combo from a full size Ampeg rig which I don't really need anymore, or wish to lug around. I'm almost completely sold on a Mark Bass CMB102P - Love the size, weight, power and most of all the tone. I've recently been looking into the Orange Little Monster 500W 2x12 and it looks impressive, but I haven't plugged in to one yet. Any opinions on these 2 head to head would be appreciated......

  2. Of those 2. I like the Orange amp (as a separate head) but think for versatility the Mark Bass will give the best returns.
Orange is great for gritty rock tones but hasn't got a lotta change within its eq.
The MB has lots & has the 2 filters (VPF & VLE) That give a great range of tones.
Also, I'm not sold on the isobaric cab design of the 212 Orange (if that's the 212 you're talking about)
