combo shipping case question (rumble 500v3)

    hey all

    replacing my recently deceased GK mb112-ii with the rumble 500 combo. played one a few weeks ago on a loan and was really impressed.

    anyway I have to ship it around a bit and I found a pelican case that'll fit fine, but it'd be either face up or face down. is one better than the other or should I find a case that keeps it upright?

    Face down is the proper orientation. Just think about how the cone of a speaker moves forward and back. Placing the speakers face down during transport allows for jolts to be better survived as the cones can move as designed. Placing the speakers face up and a hard jolt could slam the voice coil hard into the magnet.
