what is the effect that krist novolic uses in the nirvana song "come as you are" ?
  2. Chorus
  3. chorus..you serious?...hmm..our guitarist had a pedal that could make a sort of "watery" effect...sounded just like it, but hey, what do I know? Never even tried out a chorus pedal before.

I believe he's not using an effect on that song but the geetar has some sort of chorus or a flange.

I'd be willing to bet that it's an old E.H. Small Stone if it's on the guitar...
  6. It is, it's just Kurt playing on the lower registers.

Its just Kurt playing low on his guitar.

Infact in the video isnt he playing some sort of semi-acoustic?
  8. Well, I can duplicate it almost exact with a chorus.

    Mmm Hmmm.

Its Kurt with a solid body Fender (cant remember which right now) and an EH Small Stone and Krist with a Gibson Ripper playing clean.

Since Kurt is playing in the lower registers and Krist in playing in his upper registers a lot of people get confused as to who is doing what.

Ha! Just the other day I had a musician at my place who was very interested in my vintage MXR flanger (which I don't like - it wasn't even on the 'board). He was all thrilled; the first thing he did was turn off all my other effects, then tweek-up the flanger, and play this song. I recognized it right-away, and was amazed that it sounded just like the record, to my memory!

..So T.I. Jazz Flats on an old bolt-on neck peavy, through that old MXR, and into a GK head and that JBL PA cab: that's how one guy nailed it, at least!

(edit) He played a few different settings and songs, and they all sounded good! I can't seem to make that pedal sound good. Maybe 'cause he plays plectrum style (he's mainly a guitarist).

Well, you could either raise the dead but informative threads, or give birth to new threads that are clones of old questions. "But there ain't enough room in this town for the both of them!" :D

Man, when you think of Effects Forum threads in terms of scientific controversies, it kinda makes me want to be a more informed and responsible poster.

It kinda also makes me want to get out of this forum while I can :ninja:

Yeah, I know. I am the living dead, just like this thread. It sure beats cloning :D

Plus, this is his only post...

Wait, so this is a "hit and run" thread? :eyebrow:
