I might have to drive to your place to check that one out.
That's a hell of an excuse to do the trip.
Hehehe...already have it in the works to send to Rick Turner for mods.
Personally don' like the looks, but you got a great deal. After you modify that, you oughta get a tone as fat as a couch potato's @ss.
Nothing irreversible, I hope.
What have you in mind and what's wrong with how it is now?
Dunno yet...will wait until I get it and see how it sounds. I actually have been wanting to get an Epi Jack Casady to send to Turner to install similar electronics as he did in Phil Lesh & Jack Casady's Guild Starfires but then again all I need to do is run this one stock through a J-Retro outboard stompbox to get the same effects without molesting the bass.
Hey, not too bad, dude! I've got one exactly like it...except mine has the original hard case, everything mint. I'm hanging onto it for now. According to production totals in the Les Paul book, they only made about 600+ of these basses from late '73 to '79. Nice one, good catch. Congrats. Here's mine with the bridge cover removed.
Only one bolt for the neck? Is it sturdy enough, Boogiebass?
That's a strap peg. It's has a glued on neck.
Ah, you can just smell my idiocy tonight, can'tcha? Thanks fivestringdan.
Nice one Brain (purposely spelled).
Now those are some mighty fine basses! Congrats on the score, Dude!
Nice one Dude!
Nice bass. I have always wanted one in sunburst.
