I need some information. How does the Fender American Vintage '62 Precision Bass Reissue "C" neck's width (a 1.75" at the nut) and depth (thickness); compare to the 2011 American Standard 1.625" (at the nut) " Modern C" neck? Is the string spacing on the '62, 19 mm? Is the '62 neck thicker in depth (thickness)? Or is it the same depth (thickness) as the AMS "Modern C"?
My '62 reissue (American, 2006) neck is significantly more shallow front-to-back than the one on my 2011 Am Std.
Oh I see. So it's an 1/8th inch wider, but not as thick in depth...as the AMS necks. Interesting. I got the Jones (or GAS) going for a certain American Vintage 62 P-bass in three tone Sunburst, but I can't audition it, beforehand. Thank you!
