Compression gloves for joint pain?

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Rubber5oul, Jun 16, 2019.

  1. I was wondering if anyone on here suffers from pains in their hands and / or fingers who uses compression gloves? I saw an advert on Facebook and, as a sufferer myself, thought it might be an idea. They are fingerless and therefore won’t make any difference to your tone.

I use them after a long weekend of playing, to ease some of the pain I get from RA. I do not use them while I'm playing - that would really restrict movement

I wear one on my left hand from time to time.
It's flesh colored and helps. Forgot where I
got it, maybe an add on BP Magazine.

i tried fingertip-less compression gloves once: i liked the feeling of my hand, but it was a hassle while playing, for me, so i took them off --- and my hand still felt pretty good for a while, afterward.

i've played with fingertip-less gloves in the outside cold before: a hassle...and not that helpful.

  6. So not much use when actually playing but maybe of benefit before / after?

What about aspirin or ibuprofen? Did those help?

  8. I take diclofenac, much stronger than ibuprofen. I also take co-codamol. Once things go south the painkillers have little effect.

A friend of mine told me that CBD oil just masks the problem and potentially could make it worse. He swears by turmeric pills. Says it reduces the swelling. Costco sells that joint juice stuff I don’t know if it works?

I've been having problems with sore joints and hand cramps while playing for the past year or so. Finally got it under control with hydration, nutrition, and compression gloves.
