I have been running EBS Octabass -> Moogerfooger Lowpass filter -> Demeter Compulator with pretty good results, but I'm getting ready to try moving the Demeter ahead of the Octabass. I'm thinking that heavy compression before it hits the octave doubler and envelope filter could make the other effects work more consistently. Anybody use a compressor this way? If so, what have you achieved this way tone wise?
I run my compressor pedal after my wah but befroe my MXR M-80 on teh input chain teh rest of my effest go through the effect loop
If I were you I'd try: Moogerfooger Lowpass filter -> Demeter Compulator -> EBS Octabass Remember that the LPF works off dynamics and the compressor will lessen dynamics. So a compressor before a LPF would indeed make the LPF more consistent, but also more bland.
