I have an Ampeg SVT-350 (solid state) head which
clips & shuts down the speaker signal only when
I hit the lowest notes on my E-string hard or
my dynamics change from rockin' out too hard.
My question is-Would running through a compressor
help cutting out this clipping? What about a
pedal such as Overdrive or Tubeboost-would it help
w/the problem other than changing the tone?
Please don't state the obvious (i.e. "add more
cabs!" "get a tube SVT!" "quit ""rockin' out""!")

    A compressor/limiter can help you, a overdrive/booster will not.
