    Do a search on

there should be some 3rd party software to do this for you. I think XP has that functionality built in, but I'm not sure. I know OS X used to, but then they removed it, but there are still many 3rd party options available.

Heh, if its not a computer savy person your trying to hide it from, simply mark the folder as hidden and then in folder options choose not to show hidden files or folders. Can simply turn it back on when you want in. SImplest way to go about it.

You can place a password on resources over a peer-to-peer network, but Win98 doesn't have local security. (You need to have a NTFS partition)
  10. Acctually im just goin to simply change the extention of the objects in general, basically noone can get to it unless they know what it is, and this is an unusual extention so....

:rollno: And for you ppl who think its porn...shame on you! :rollno:

You could also make an icon for the folder that only uses the transparent color, and use a non space, non character askey character to name it. Then it wont show up at all to anyone, but you can double click it if you know where it is hehe.

Buddy of mine did that with porn on his desktop at work lol :)

  13. First of all its not porn.

Second of all, no, changing the extention then hiding it is much better, because if they do fine it, the extention won't be right, thus they cant open it without knowing what it is.

Never said your's was porn, just said a buddy of mine at work did that with HIS porn ;-)
  15. You could also use Winzip or Winrar and zip the folder with a password (I assume you could, I know this was possible with pkzip for DOS anyway). That could be a little time consuming though, to unzip it everytime you wanted to access it.
  16. Jazzin'

    Jazzin' ...Bluesin' and Funkin'

you can make it hidden, so you would have to know the address of it to get to it.
  17. yes, as i stated above, im doing that and changing the extention...
