  1. When I try to access a link on a webpage, my Yahoo browser will open a new Yahoo browser window, but the window will remain blank. I will occaisionally receive a script error message "do you want to continue to run scripts in this window". Active scripting is enabled (I've checked). I have been attempting to run an update to IE, but the update will not run. I've run both AdAware and Spybot S&D to no avail.
Have also run PC Bug Doctor and Registry Mechanic and repaired the errors they found.
I'm about to chuck this thing against a wall...arrrrgggghhh!
Some particulars: Windows 98SE (I know, but it USED to work!) on a Dell Dimension XPS T500. DSL connection through Efficient Networks Speedstream 5100. SBC/Yahoo ISP.

Check your browser settings. Also, you may want to look into a different broswer such as Opera, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape etc.
