Lately whenever I turn on my computer monitor while playing my bass in close proximity, I get this really annoying crackly hum. I've never noticed this before about a week ago. Is there anything I can do?

  2. don't put your bass near your computer monitor...
    that or get humbuckers...

Its a Cirrus, so it shoudn't be picking up hum, and also this just started. I've been playing with my computer for years and never had this problem before.

  4. i dont know what to tell you, i know my washburn humms when i have it on sling and change the channel on my tv by hand but i move and its fine...

can you put your hand on the strings and stop the buzz?

  5. If you have magnets in your pickups, keep them away from the monitor. Nearly killed a TV when my friend put his guitar amp directly in front of the screen. All of the electrons were formed a straight line up and down the screen.
