Concert Review: Edgar Meyer in Milwaukee

    The rules of classical concert etiquette tell us to applaud after an entire piece is over, not between the individual movements. But rules are made to be broken.

    I saw Mr. Meyer here in Grand Rapids, Michigan a few weeks ago, and it was outstanding. It is certainly nice to see bass featured so prominently in an orchestral setting, and Mr. Meyer takes it to a completely unexpected level.
