Well I had a festival gig for tomorrow (Sat) and it looks like it's gonna be rescheduled to Sunday due to rain. The cool thing is that the Lovin Spoonful is opening for us, but on the other hand I'm missing out on my beloved football day. The gig is from 3-5 which will occur right around half-time of the Bears game. Aside from the Bears, I really enjoy hangin out at the bar with my buds watching football.

Yeah I know it's a gig, and for the love of music I should be psyched. I was psyched to play on Saturday, and psyched to watch football on Sunday. Now I can only be psyched for one thing.

    What to do......

Anyone interested in subbing for the Fairfax City Festival on Oct 9th? :D

    Think of the exposure. ;)

I've been around seedy club owners too long.

Anyway, the gig should pay enough to cover your mileage.

There's some good college games on this weekend...

    Texas vs OU

    Ohio State vs Penn State

I'm in the car business. I have to work every Saturday so I miss college ball more.

The Lovin Spoonful is opening for you? Or they play before you do?

    They play before we do.

Funny thing is that we were supposed to go on before them. It was supposed to be this acoustic act, us, then the Spoonful, but at the last minute the Spoonful wanted to go on first. Now we get to be the headliner :meh:

The Spoonful must be football fans too. :D

Dude, I wish. The only TV I have in the house is a 3.5" B&W we keep in the garage for emergencies.

I can't get my football fix at home. I don't have NFL Ticket, let alone a TV to watch it on.

    Don't Tempt Me!

This gig could unleash a power from within me that not even the dark lord himself could imagine.

Tune up that BC Rich Warlock and bring it down to Suburbia. Not only will you rock, you'll become an overnite sensation. Men will fear you, women will adore you.

    Think of the possibilities..............

Maybe my wife is right when she says I have a problem with football

You know what? I am actually gonna do that.
It's small enough in front of the stage monitor.

I might not be able to watch the games I want, but I'll at least be able to watch scores and highlights.

If all else fails, then it looks like the way to go.

If someone does want to get some exposure and make some extra cash, feel free to PM me.

I wonder if I should ask the soundman to pump the TV sound into my stage monitor?

It freaks me out how obsessed people are with football. I'll sum it up, the guys will run the ball back and forth, and one of them will win Find out the score later...

    Different strokes.........

I'm obsessed with drag racing. Nobody better bother me during the US Nationals @ Indy.

Heck, I've gotten club owners to turn on ESPN2 so I could catch some racing during a gig.
