conklin 7

    :confused: Anyone her tried or own one of the groovetools Bill Dickens sig
    models....Are the decent ,have any pics.... :bassist:

    I own one, it has become my main axe. If it makes any difference, I also own a custom USA Curbow and a Stringray 5, which says something about the quality of this bass. Great sound, great feel, great looks. Doesn't get much better than this (unless you can afford a custom Conklin that is)

    yeah, the bd bass is the only production instrument that i would own and play, if i were to own and play a production instrument. they compare very favorably to my custom instruments. :hyper:

    IIRC there are a few up on Ebay right now.

    Edit: Well, I guess I should have said there were some on Ebay.. Just checked and it looks like they're over.

    So would you guys say that its worth the money to get the Bill Dickens model over the regular GT-7?

    Yes.. The GT-7s are great basses, but the Dickens model is considered "as close to Conklin custom" as you can get without the "custom price tag".
