can anyone tell me anything about these basses. Why are they so cheap? Are they a what squier is to fender type of thing?

    just wondering

  2. they are mass produced versions of Conklin's customs.

Can't really compare Fender and Conklin because one is a true custom shop, and the other is mass market. So the squire thing doesn't fit. Its a much better put together instrument than a squire.

I love my Conklin GT, excellant instrument. The neck is one of the easiest playable necks I've had the fortune of playing. Body is solidly made, and the neck has barely ever needed adjusted(thanks to the purple heart/wenge laminate).
