Review coming soon..
I'm surprised. For some reason I thought you weren't going to like it.
A little different from what I was expecting.. But not in a bad way..
More to come... Probably Sunday after sessions..
Beautiful stuff, Mark.
So what are the plans for the next one?
The next one might be a ways off...
Sweet stuff Mark! Glad you finally got it.
Wow Mark. To say she is gorgeous would be an understatement. Quite a nice couple you've got now. Congrats!
hehe, you have enough to keep you company for now
how's the ramp working out for you?
If you were made entirely of wood, would you want to be sitting RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE!?!?!?
That's simply cruel, Man....
I think you better leave them with me for a little while until they can learn to forgive you.
Seriously, they are a beautiful pair, and I hope one day to steal them.
I mean, play them. Did I say steal? I meant play.....
That bassmonkeee, he's so thoughtful!
Mark, beautiful bass, by the way
Nice! Did it come with fuzzy dice and some bling-bling?
Equiped with 24" Spinners.
Seriously Mark, nice bass. I'm not a big fan of painted basses, but that does look sweet.
Well its about time that bass got there! How much time have waited in total Mark?
wow, mark, that's a beautiful instrument. can't wait to try it out
That's pretty wild Mark, congrats! Get us sound clips! -Luke
Conklin does make some beautiful stuff!
Just kidding , that is great looking. You have been wanting that one a while, I hope you enjoy it.
I am interested in some clips (as is almost everyone who posted in the first thread about it).
If your band tours, come to Mississippi. I would be interested in seeing a multi-string in action.
Congrads Mark on your new axe, what body wood is on the new bass?.
My fingers hurt today from playing so much last night!!
Thanks, everyone for the compliments!!!
To answer some specific questions:
No, I'd have a house full if I could!! Next in line is revamping my amp rig.. My next bass will probably be something by another builder.. Been looking at Stambaugh and Nordstrand.. I hear JP is going to build an 8 string!! Might have to snag that one though!! LOL!!
I like it. First time I've used one and it's been no problem..
Nine months.. I dropped the deposit last September.. The end result was well worth the wait!!
You bet!!!! Next shin-dig whether in Atlanta or Mobile! You're most welcome to take her for a spin!!
Yes, yes!! Sound clips will be coming.. Will try to record a few at the studio this Sunday.. I can't wait to hear this thing in an ensemble. I love the sound of my first 8 string and this bass has the same pup / preamp config in it as well... It'll be interesting to hear the nuances in tone / sound due to construction, the different woods, maple neck etc..
Sure thing!!! Might be a ways off yet though.. In the meantime, keep an eye open for Stew's band "Brotherhood of Groove" who are touring at the moment.
Thanks, MM... The body is dragonwood, neck is maple and bubinga and the fretboard is maple.
I dont think i have ever played a bass made of dragonwood, what are the tonal properties of it?, Mark how much does the bass bass weigh?.
