The bass is pretty hefty as you can imagine with the woods involved.. However, the balance is great on it so it's easily playable for extended periods of time... Dont know an exact weight, but I'd put it around 12 to 13 pounds in estimate..

On the sound... There's NO WAY to compare the sound of a full custom shop Conklin bass with one of the GT-7s... The custom shop models are light years beyond them in construction, sound, and playability...

On this bass.. I'd have to compare the sound to maple.. Tons of sustain... tons of attack.. smooth low end with good high end clarity..

You would put this one up for sale when I'm totally maxed out on bass expenditures for a while! :(

Ok... $1800 may be asking a little much for this bass so...

    $1600 anyone?

Seems more than fair to me! :D

If I hadn't depleted the funds by grabbing a used Sidewinder 7 not too long ago, I would be all over this! Good luck selling this one, Prog. I'm surprised it's not gone already!

  18. Oh wow, if only I knew what to do with those 3 extra strings and the 4 extra frets, I would be all over this bass like Syrup* on pancakes.
