Who is Denson Angulo? Is that JT's real name? :)

Whoever he is, he has a killer bass. I'd be afraid to play something that nice.

How do they come up with the collectable values? Don't tell me that's how much you paid. :rollno:

    That's bass is incredible BTW.

  6. Collectibility values are not what the customer pays.

    Very nicely done Denson!!! Congratulations!!!

I'm been playing bass for almost 30 years now, am a session bassist and only play 4 & 5 strings. I never saw the need to go up to a 6. But after teaching my son to play bass a few years ago, and now at 16, watching him go on to develop nice tapping techniques, playing chords, melodies and basslines simultaneously, and reading up and listening to what you guys are doing on bass, and looking at the various extended range instruments you have, I'm inspired to take my playing to another level and stretch out and try some new things.

I've already been enchanging emails w/ Bill Conklin, throwing around ideas for a custom 7 or 8 string. It will probably be a good 5 to 6 months before I'm able to actually put my order in, but I'm psyched.

The bass has evolved so much over the years since I started playing, and it's great to see that it has not become stagnant, but just continues to stretch out into new realms.

So, thanks for the inspiration guys, and Congratulations once again, Denson, on a beautiful instrument.

    Mikey/

Based on those values, it would be cheaper to have Alembic build Conklins than to have Bill Conklin build Conklins!

  12. haha, that's true! :D

  13. Argh.

Rusty Cooley has a 9 string now.
