connecting 2 bass heads

    Hello.
    My new goal is to set up my two bass heads.im currently using a crate 220bth but i previously played with a ashdown evo III 500. My friend told me to try connecting the two together and using the ashdown as a preamp of some sort.so my question is how do i connect them both?

    If you have a preamp out jack on the Ashdown, that would probably work, but why in the world is this even a remotely good idea?

    After doing some research on this subject, and after using a few crate amps over the years I have come to the conclusion that I would simply ditch the crate and just use the Ashdown head and cab,
    If more volume or fullness is needed try adding another cab of some sort, mabye a 1x15 or a 2X12.
