When playing out I use a SWR Black Beauty and Goliath 2x10. I also have a Peavey TNT 115 that I use for practice at times. I have often wondered what I would do if a situation came about where I would need more volume as I do not have PA support. One day, out of experimenting, I found myself running a line from the SWR's effects send to the Peavey's input. Is this a safe thing to do or can it really mess something up? Thanks for the help.

That is a fine way to do it. I use the effect send out on my amps to drive things like tuners and monitors. If the amp has a line output I will try both and somethimes the effect send sounds better or the level is better. Sometimes not.

But the answer is "no, you won't hurt either amp by doing that".
