    hi there,
i just recieved a neutrik stereo panel jack (parts express) for my (active) ibanez atk bass. the ibanez jack has 3 prongs at the end of the jack for the 3 wires to connect. my question is, the neutrik stereo jack only has 1 prong at the end of the jack then has an extended arm. where do i sodder the 3 wires. what wire connects to the single prong?

any help would be great, or a diagram

    by a confussed greenhorn....

If there are only two lugs the jack is mono.

Yep, sounds like you got a mono jack when you need a stereo jack.

When you do get a stereo jack, the center lug is tip (+), the outer lug is sleeve (-) and the middle lug is ring (battery ground in most circuits).
