    Just read in yesterday's Sports section that "The Hawk" had passed.
    I did not see anything here at TB, so...

    Hawkins was Dr. J before there was a Julius Erving.
    Massive hands, great talent, moves, & dunks.
    Should be a household name. Rather, he got screwed. IMHO.

    Thanks for posting this, JimK. I meant to, but didn't get around to it.

    Yes...there's a lot of The Hawk in Dr. J.
