Lotsa bass players have heard about SUNN. And those bassplayers who had the opportunity to play a well maintained Sunn rig loved it. Sunn is now gone.

Conrad amps is home of former Sunn owner Conrad Sundholm. He now creates guitar combo's. And the C4 bass preamp.

I'm interested in this bass preamp. Who owns one and how it's like?

I've been very interested in that preamp for quite a while, so I would as well also be interested in hearing from people who have used one or owned one.

If that preamp is anywhere near a SUNN preamp... Why is nobody all over it?

Probably because no one has heard one, yet. :meh: Maybe Conrad should send some out to us and we can provide feedback/reviews on it. I volunteer! :bassist:
  10. I sent Conrad a text yesterday to check in here. Not sure if hes a member or not. About year and half ago or maybe more he brought a. Prototype in to a local jam and it sounded very good. Very fat and natural. I never got the details but I played it for 3_4 tunes and liked it. I ran into him several mo's ago and asked about it and he said he'd made several changes for the better. I will tell you his tube guitar amps sound stellar so I expect this will as well. I might give him a call to see if I can check it out..

I called him 4 or 5 years ago and he returned my call right away. Then I called and emailed a few weeks later to order one and he never returned my call. I've moved on but I certainly would have purchased one back then.
