I had the pleasure of seeing the tremendously gifted Patty Griffin recently. She's so fantastic live. If you can't catch her in concert, check out her music... so special and highly underrated. I'm happy to give recommendations. Playing with Patty on her current tour is Conrad Choucroun, formerly with NRBQ. On many tunes, the man is playing drums and electric bass simultaneously... kick and hi-hat with his feet, stick or brush in his right hand and fretting notes on the bass with his left. If that wasn't enough, he also plays piano and guitar on this tour. Go see 'em, folks. {}
