Tosay I came home from training .
I opened my email and saw a new email .
    The title was this :
Conservatory of music school .(south region )

Hi Mr.wishforbass (my name for sure )

"We are proud to say that after checking your vidoes and saw your live performances by our personal teachers ,invite you for joining south region to enter conservatory of jazz music .
This orchestra is a public side group of university of art so it won't get place of yourhwic school and we got permission from your music school.
Mr.wishforbass thanks for reading our email and hope see you on our group ."

I'm kind of shock because usually bassist with much more experience gets this email and it's an invite email to join one of 8 bands and they have groups full of experience player .
I'm only playing bass for 12 month.
I don't know what should I do accrpt or just let it go .

It's a huge success for a player my lvl to go to one of this local bands that is under music university.

I need some idea and tips.

Sounds like a scam, based off the information provided. I'd start by reaching out to the school via phone directly, not through any contact means in the email. Go to their website, look up the phone number and call.

If it's legit, well, that's up to you to decide. Is music what you want to be your career?

If that is a direct copy and paste of the e-mail you received, it's fake.

It is VERY unusual that they would be contacting you unsolicited to invite you. Contact the school and ask.

Call and ask if there is a scholarship with the invitation.

I doubt it and suspect it's a ploy to get your loan and personal funds.

Note: The OP is in Iran, so maybe he has translated it for us.

That's why I tried to tread a little lightly with my initial response. It sounded "scam-y", but that could've just been stuff lost in translation.

And just as an aside, I am totally stoked that we have at least one friend in the Islamic Republic of Iran. I know it will never happen, but I would like to visit someday.

If you have to pay money up front for anything at all, it's a scam.

I call the school and made sure about the request and they said it's right ,and I have time till end of month to accept the request .
Although it's a side program and it's just more about improving of playing than being a school and band .
They are more focused on playing jazz music and standard musics .
It's one day per week from 10 am till 4 pm.

I didn't get more enough but it seems it's true specially that I got a call from my teacher this morning too and he was happy that I choosed .
The good part is that programme is on day that I'm off .

Hey if it's free and you're not busy I call this free lessons. If you've been playing 12mo, unless you're a virtuoso, you'd have to pay for lessons to get a good handle on theory and just tuning your ear. Again, if it's free and no scam and only requires your time and presence, go for it. Personally, I'd be cautious as hell but I also wasn't offered anything like this during my early playing years.

What videos are they talking about? How did they see them? Even translated from Farsi this sounds suspicious.

Maybe things are different there, but at least here:

    - universities do not make an initial contact like this through email - scammers do,
    - universities do not make unsolicited contact, they have applicants,
    - they would not make an offer just based upon hearing you, without knowing your musical knowledge
    - even here, there are "universities" that are scams

Proceed with caution, especially if they start asking for tuition. Good luck.

I agree, sounds suspicious, but also sounds worth checking out further if legit - maybe a friend or teacher sent them your videos? Just keep yours eyes open for potential scams (always a good idea).
