Consider the Source (awesome instrumental fusion band.)

They have a new little album out, great for the price. There's a bass solo that is totally kick ass. all the guitar solos are improv'd, and the bassist is really tight with the drummer.

With tastes of Mahavishnu Orchestra they ahve their own sound. (and that sound is great.)
