Reading a few articles on stradivari and wondered if anyone had thoughts on how these theories would effect a solid instrument (sorry if the title is misleading). They are about the wood he used and the possible conditions they might of been in. Thoughts? http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2000/oct/14/books.guardianreview2 http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/01/0107_040107_violin.html http://www.world-science.net/othernews/090915_violin.htm Also some talk about the golden ratio in the shape of the violins... Thanks, c P.S. I know solid bodies aren't supposed to resonate but they do, so this is relevant!
