Here is a tough one. I searched all over the net and here and i could not find an answer.

Is it possible to control a Line 6 Lowdown amp via my laptop. In other words, is there a way to make my computer into a virtual FBV Shortboard?

I sincerely doubt it. If you could, there would've been a USB interface. There isn't.

TC Electronics also failed at this on their RB 450
I guess the Line 6 and TC Electronics thinking is if you wanted automation you'd be using software plugins instead of their hardware anyhow.

When they don't provide a PC interface, it also makes me suspect that they have no means of delivering any firmware updates/upgrades for their heads.

Seems very basic that a PC interface should be provided. Maybe it's there but just no external port for it. Internal use only type of interface.

I would think that a computer could be linked via the cat 5 on the front just like the pedal. The real problem is in the pinouts and signals. I guess I just figured that this would have been solved by now.

    Line 6 should solve it.
