This weekend was spent in Seward, AK. Along the Kenai Peninsula, this sleepy little town hasn't got much going on.

    Downtown Seward.

    The venue.

Setup. The VM Jazz got the gig.

    Empty bar...

Somewhat full bar... Night 1. This evening was rough, and I think everyone knew it. In addition to a lifeless crowd, our band just wasn't into it. It did get to and end on a good note, however.

Full bar! Night 2. We had a great evening right from the get-go. Everyone was loving us and we had that place fill up til we left.

Hawaiian tacos. 2 for $8... Way too expensive for how they tasted.

The band members of Rebel Clef. From left: Kiah "Mombasa", drummer; Ousman "OJ", lead vocalist; Johnnie, keyboardist/background vocals; Miguel "Ernie" (me), electric bass; Ben "Baba", percussion.

The rest of the pictures are not from the gigs, but scenic photos taken along the drive up the Seward Highway.
Outside the bar's rear band apartment. 7:30 am, prior to our trip home.

8 am and the moon is still out? Go home moon, you're drunk!

Taken from a friend's car. The back of our tour bus........not.

One of my favorite views before making it back home.

Overall, a fun weekend playing with great musicians and a good crowd. We've already been invited again! Thanks for reading. See you around...

Sweet! I did a theater on Friday and a rodeo Saturday. (As monitor engineer)

Didn't get a pic of the rodeo because we had load in at 8am and I was grumpy.

    So. Cal.

Charming pub, beautiful country, and it looks like the crowd really warmed up to you. Fun stuff! A multi-level stage is always a nice visual. Thanks for sharing your gig. Nice work!

Nothing going on? Your band showed up, and it became the happening place in Alaska.

Thanks! That's flattering! Or is it desperation?
