I'm a new member- a 17 year bass player weekend warrior. Hello to everyone!

I also dabble in recording, although bass is my first love. I've finished a pretty unique musical project with heavy bass which you may find interesting, and
the MP3 file is on the web.

Check out the MP3 - "The Last Time"- at

    The story 'behind the music':

Just for fun, In December of 2002, I solicited musicians via the Web to do a
metal style cover of the old Rolling Stones song "The Last Time".

I wanted to see what it would be like to play and produce a song where the
musicians in different locations never played together in person; they would
each record their parts themselves and all the tracks would be consolidated
    and refined via email/the web.

I had put together rough demo song, playing all the instruments, and looked
for musicians to take it to "the next level". Well, what I intended to be a
weekend project took me 6 months to complete, since I just don't have any
free time. But in short I've completed a song with the help of 3 other
musicians (2 in the US, 1 in Australia).

    The credits:
UFO (that's me, USA): Lead bass player, Arranger, producer, played all instruments
on original demo track, also played rhythym guitar on final track, and did
final mixing of tracks to produce the MP3.

Mark Fisher (USA): Lead and backup vocals, plus rhythym guitar

    Steve Pinelli (USA): Drummer

    Andrew Thompson (Australia): Lead Guitar

I think you'll agree that it sounds pretty good considering we've never
played the song together in person. Plus, all tracks and most of the
effects were done by the ZOOM PS02, a little $199 device, so we didn't have
the luxury of a professional recording studio, but I think the recording
    really packs a punch.

I am not a pro recording engineer, and keep in mind this was done a few
minutes a week as a hobby, so don't expect it to sound as polished as the
latest Brittany Spears album or anything like that (ha ha).

I'm already receiving requests to re-mix it differently, perhaps I'll do
    that in the near future...
