I was at my buds guitar shop and seen a cool bass,it was a odd-ball name one that i have'nt heard of before. it had the regular controls for a P&J pick-up configuration and 3 more dials for learning purposes.I'll explain, there were little lights up and down the neck on every frett/note,and the dials controlled what notes, chords, scales, arppegio's you wanted to learn.you would select the musical lesson you wanted to learn by turning one of the knobs,it would then lite up the correct fretts to depress and VIOLA ! the lesson lite up on the frett-board. showing exactly what to de-press to get the correct sound wanted. COOL NO ? I thought it was a nifty(nifty ??)idea,it would definately make learning notes, chords, scales, and arppegios easier to learn, even more so if one was self learning.i thought it was different, and i never came across or heard of one like this before.
I remember ads in magazines for this some years ago. Somehow they haven't been successful - and I'll tell you the secret to their market failure: There are no shortcuts.
doesnt anyone speak regular, plain, good ol'e english anymore ?all these wierd little abreviations and #@*^#&^!'s,what ever they stand for. say what you mean, and mean what you say. i guess speaking correctly is a lost art
Actually, before it was corrupted by foolish 12 year olds playing online games and trying to be wicked cool, people started using things like hell0 not to be cool, but in order to bypass filtres set up on Usenet by moronic moderators who filtred words they liked or just on whim actual common usage words. I remember for a whole day some prick filtred "the".
haha, its so true... I was talking to my friend and I was like "you suxors you stupid idiot, ahaha" and he said something and then i was like "i could prolly kick your ass" and my mom was like "what the hell is suxors and prolly?" and i was like "suxors is sucks and prolly is just short for probably" and she was like "oh hell, i'll never keep up with the language you people speak anymore..." ~ Tyler
It's Ironic that the best written post on this thread so far was written by a guy from Germany. A credit for him and egg on everyone else's face. By the way, the guitar is an Optek. They were made in the late 80s/early 90s.
I would hope that it was implied my response was indeed a stab at humor, and not an utter lack of skills as an english speaker. Well, technically, a competant english writer; you know, the whole lack of actual verbiage on an online forum and whatnot.
i still dont know what the heck is going on,and now that i think about it.... I DONT CARE ,its a waste of time trying to communicate with all these shortcuts and abreviations and $%&(*&&%$$^'s .i'll stick to what works EADG. .i dont think i will visit here any longer, its not the same as it was when i started out, there's some nasty people posting nasty comments, theres the same 5 questions being asked and when a different question pops up,the person gets attacked by the bass cliques(you know who you are).if theres something of importance i need to post or i need some real advice, not what color bass to get,or which bass is the best punk bass ?,then i'll visit. This site takes to much energy to enjoy.its no longer for me. THANKS TO THE FEW PEOPLE WHO I EXCHANGED SOME QUALITY INFO WITH.
That's 11 characters. What's 11 letters? Most of the compound ones I'm aware of are shorter or longer...
